When shooting street photography, if you've walked for a while and can immerse yourself in the moment, you enter your own 'zone.' This state of mindfulness increases the likelihood of capturing the images you desire. Coupled with the quality of the Sony FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM II lens, a professional-grade lens covering all street photography needs, it feels like being in a 'safe space' for photography. Simply put, when shooting, we don't have to worry about equipment because we already have quality gear. This allows us to focus our attention and easily enter our own 'zone.'
What I love most about this lens is its fast and accurate autofocus system. In street photography, where capturing decisive moments happens within split seconds, having a lens that is both fast and precise is crucial. If the lens isn't quick or accurate enough, we risk missing those moments entirely. Personally, I prefer shooting street using layering techniques, where the image must be sharp from foreground to background. Having a lens with high sharpness from the center to the edges ensures confidence in capturing the highest quality image in the best moments.
This set of images was taken with the Sony A7C camera and the Sony FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM II lens. Most of these images are new and haven't been posted before. Initially, I felt like I lost my spark in street photography. But once I started using this lens for street photography, it felt like reigniting that spark. It elevated the quality of my work and invited friends to enjoy it together.
